(670 The Score) White Sox right-hander Lance Lynn, left-hander Carlos Rodon and closer Liam Hendriks have all been named All-Stars, MLB announced Sunday.
Lynn will be making his second trip of the All-Star Game and his first in nearly a decade, as he did so in 2012. Acquired by the White Sox in a trade with the Rangers in the offseason, he's having a superb season, going 8-3 with a 2.02 ERA (fifth-best in MLB) and a 1.03 WHIP in 15 starts.
Rodon earned All-Star honors for the first time in what had been an injury-plagued career before this season. He has been one of the breakout stars across MLB, winning a battle in spring training for the No. 5 spot in the rotation and making the most of the opportunity. He's 6-3 with a 2.37 ERA and 0.94 WHIP in 14 starts while striking out 13.1 batters per nine innings.
Hendriks earned his second All-Star nod, having also done so in 2019. He has a 2.57 ERA and 0.80 WHIP in 37 appearances entering. His 21 saves were also tied for the second-most in MLB entering Sunday.
The All-Star Game will be held July 13 at Coors Field in Denver.
