A pair of semi crashes force continued delays and I-75 closure.

Early Tuesday morning, a tanker overturned in the median around 6am on I-75 at MM 391. Crews on scene are cleaning a chemical spill. I-75 is closed from the NW 39th Ave. Exit 390 to the Alachua Exit 399. Cleanup is expected to take up to 12 hours.

Around 11:15am Tuesday, a tractor trailer crash on I-75 northbound at MM 387 closed all northbound traffic near the Newberry Rd. Exit 386.

Alternate routes around Alachua County are recommended, on either US 41 or US 441.

Southbound traffic can take US 41 at Exit 404, but an accident at that exit could cause minor delays.

Northbound traffic can detour at the Micanopy Exit 374 on CR 274 to US 441 north. Expect delays in congestion through Gainesville.
