Junkies' 2024 Drinking Show heading to MGM National Harbor on Dec. 20
You’ve got about two weeks to prepare your livers, Donks, because the word is out: the 2024 edition of the annual Sports Junkies Drinking Show will be Friday, Dec. 20, from 6-10 a.m. of course, at the BetMGM Sportsbook at MGM National Harbor in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
“Look, just go to your boss and say sorry, I'm just taking a long weekend, I'm hanging out with the Junks for the Junkies Holiday Show, I can't possibly make it to work today,” Cakes implored. “Just block the whole day off, come hang out with us at MGM National Harbor as we’re live on stage. It’s a Friday five days before Christmas, don’t think you’re getting actual work done!
There will be drinking, of course, some sort of White Elephant/Secret Santa gimmick, special guests, and Bish doesn’t even have to bring his own cooler of IPAs (which we frown upon…unless you’re staying there and leave it in your room, just don’t wake Bish up before 5:30 a.m. please).
The last time they did a show with listener participation was at our Half Street studios, but now, you can play some slots and chop it up with fellow Donks!
“This is also encouragement for everyone who likes the drinking show to come out to it and see it live, because it is not broadcast on Monumental,” Valdez revealed. “You can listen to it on the radio, but if you like watching the guys get a little loosey goosey, come on out to MGM.”
The guys are going to the Wizards game the night before and then staying at MGM, where they’ll likely watch some Thursday Night Football before bed, so they’ll sure be in RARE form that day…sort of like EB going off on the name of the Hennessey Loft at Capital One Arena during the announcement!
Oh, and one more thing: the Black Crowes are at MGM on that Thursday night, so Bish wants to see if the can do their Christmas intros…will it happen? Gonna have to be there to find out!
Please, remember, whether you join us in-person, or listen on 106.7 The Fan, The Team 980, or the Audacy App, if you choose to partake in the activities, do so responsibly…and if you’re there, please help us keep a crocked Cakes away from the poker tables!
