A New Year is here and Kevin Sheehan’s Smell Test picks, the legendary contrarian handicapping philosophy, returns after a solid start to the opening weekend of NFL action.
WHAT’S KEVIN'S FOOTBALL "SMELL TEST"?
It’s a contrarian handicapping philosophy. I look for the games where the public is convinced they have it figured out on a game's point spread or total and I go the other way. There’s more to it than that but for the most part, it’s the realization over many years that the house wins more than it loses and the house advantage comes from more than just the built-in vig/fee.
This is my 18th year doing the Smell Test on radio and/or podcast. I've had 12 winning seasons....5 losing seasons.
