Once again the Washington Commanders enter the offseason searching for an answer at quarterback – and a new offensive coordinator, to boot. But this time, winds of change are blowing at the ownership level as rumors of a potential sale will surely steal all the oxygen that usually fuels the fires during the football-less months of the year.

And while fans won't know if Sam Howell will be the team's starter anytime soon, 106.7 The Fan's JP Finlay said multiple sources indicate the Commanders sale "will be over soon." But who will get control of the once crown jewel of the NFL from steward Daniel Snyder and how much will the rescuers pay in ransom?

Todd Boehly, a Bethesda native who recently completed the purchase of the Premier League's Chelsea Football Club, has "pulled out of the Commanders bidding," Finlay reported on Monday.

And Jeff Bezos did not submit a bid for the team in December (as it was reported over the weekend by Front Office Sports) and Finlay noted the Snyders would prefer not to sell to the Amazon executive chairman. But, while unlikely he makes a move, Bezos is not out of the running completely.

That leaves Josh Harris as the possible top candidate. A D.C native who owns the Philadelphia 76ers and the New Jersey Devils, was reportedly in the bidding for the Denver Broncos last year before a group led by Walmart heir Rob Walton won the bidding for the franchise.
