The Commanders have a long list of needs to turn the franchise back into a contender, and while many fans still believe in the new ownership group to accomplish that feat, EB says they will have to hit on a good GM, a good quarterback, and a good head coach, which will take “a miracle.”
Not that it doesn’t take that level of good fortune for the rest of the league.
“It’s a miracle to pick the right guys. It’s a crapshoot. Nobody knows,” EB said. “We’re gonna hire some guy, I don’t care who it is…it’s gonna take a miracle. You gotta get lucky.
“They’re gonna win eight games next season. It means nothing. You’ll be just like all the other losers we’ve has here. You’re not gonna do it unless a miracle happens. You have to have a great GM who gets lucky as hell, who blindfolded, picks a quarterback. You gotta hire an offensive and defensive coordinator that’s great, a head coach that’s great, a special teams coach that’s great. It takes a miracle.”
