The Junkies react to different Dan Quinn press conference quotes…and seem pretty happy?

We need you to be where your ears are, because Tuesday morning, the Junkies broke down new Commanders head coach Dan Quinn’s introductory press conference – and yeah, we need you to listen to some hard $#!t with good people.

Here’s the bottom line: the guys seem to be enthused, more so than last week for sure.

They played Quinn’s answer about “keeping the main thing the main thing” and learning from his previous experience in Atlanta going forward, and EB, for one, was impressed.

“I was blown away, and my overall assessment was this dude is thoughtful, and has really contemplated what has worked and didn’t work,” EB said. “I don’t think he’s going to leave a stone unturned. I think he has unfinished business and knows he has to learn, and he’s not going to mail it in. He’s going to give you everything he’s got. I was really impressed.”

“He humbled himself after leaving Atlanta,” Cakes replied. “He seems like the kind of dude you’d love to have a half-dozen beers with.”

And after hearing him say he wanted the Commanders to ‘please call,’ and that he will work with Adam Peters to find the right guys and they will be in lock step? A breath of fresh air after 25 years of DC smog.

“Kind of refreshing that he’s coming in solely to coach, not to rehab the organization or decide on the logo or name or deal with a dysfunctional owner,” Cakes said. “He’s coming strictly to coach the football team, and that’s something Commanders fans have to be relieved by.”

“He’s not going to have the final call, but it seems like he’s going to have some input on personnel, working side-by-side with Peters,” JP replied. “When we talked with Thomas Dimitroff, his former GM in Atlanta, he said one of Quinn’s strengths was finding talent, so that’s going to be an asset.”

“It seems like their relationship is going to be the foundation of it, and it seems like Peters is just going to be an easy dude to get along with,” EB added. “I’m sure he has strong opinions, and I’m sure Dan Quinn does, but I feel like it’s a relationship that has potential to work, and they’re open to discussing things.”

Last work to Bish: “I think it’s going to be a good relationship.”

The guys played quite a few clips from Quinn and reacted – take a listen to it all above!
