The Washington Commanders are reportedly interested in Kareem Hunt? That interest was curious for Ben Standig and Kevin Sheehan when looking at the Washington backfield and judging if there is a) any need for another RB and b) if Hunt is necessarily an upgrade over the current players on the roster and it does not really pass the smell test. The only thing that makes sense is the Eric Bieniemy familiarity factor, but how much is that worth?
After talking about other areas of need (Sheehan pointed to the offensive line and a dedicated cheap pass rusher) and transitioned to the under-the-radar surprise of OTAs from what Standig heard from Jack Del Rio and Logan Paulsen: linebacker Khaleke Hudson.
Also, Hard Knocks is still looking for a team that will open its doors this training camp. The Commanders can't say no to the HBO cameras, but with all that is going on around the team from the ownership change, it could be unlikely a team that might be in the last days of Dan Snyder or the first days of Josh Harris gets a behind the scenes treatment, even though it would make for some incredible television.
And, of course, Standig and Sheehan got into the nitty gritty of the Wizards trading Bradley Beal, when the team should pull the trigger on the move to merit the most in return, what team can put together the best offer for Washington, and what would Standig like to see happen.
