The Washington Wizards' summer of change is nearing its next stage: free agency, which begins officially on Friday at 6 p.m. ET. But after trading away Bradley Beal, Kristaps Porzingis, and the recently acquired Chris Paul and drafting a pair of players from overseas, are there many moves the Wizards' new regime can make?

Scott Jackson (in for Kevin Sheehan) spoke to Sean Deveney, Heavy.com's NBA Insider, about how the past moves impact Michael Winger's and Will Dawkins' plans for free agency, if Jordan Poole is somebody who could be flipped later this season, what will happen with Kyle Kuzma, and the other big names in the NBA who might be on the move like Damian Lillard, James Harden, and Kyrie Irving.

"It's about time and something that should've happened a couple years ago, most likely," Deveney said referring to the Wizards trade of Beal. "It was definitely time for a change, though, and this is gonna be a full rebuild, they're gonna be pretty bad for the next couple years, but that's ok, the young guys on the roster you wanna see are they any good and then you wanna have the opportunity to draft guys at the top of the draft the next couple years. A lot is still coming for Washington, but this is what they had to do to get started."

On Poole, there is the possibility he greatly improves from his poor, poor play a season ago, but if he can be a valuable piece for Washington, the team will still likely trade him in the next year or two, Deveney said.

For Kuzma a sign-and-trade will probably be in the best interest of all parties for the player, the team he joins and the Wizards.
