The Washington Wizards have waived wing Eugene Omoruyi, trimming their roster to 16 players plus two-way contracts.
Omoruyi, 27, averaged 4.8 points and 2.0 rebounds per game in 43 contests for the Wizards last season. He was set to make $2.2 million this year, but that amount is non-guaranteed.
Omoruyi was undrafted out of Oregon in 2021 and spent time with the Mavericks, Thunder, and Pistons before signing a two-way deal with Washington last July. That was converted to a standard deal in March, with the non-guaranteed salary for 2024-25.
