Another recipe from Grandma George's recipe collection is here and of course, it's delicious. This sounded so good with the weather and the season and it tastes like you should be eating next to fireplace all cozy. The original recipe was submitted by Janet Aman and she knew what she was doing. This recipe is so easy to make and the ingredients are minimal. Hope you enjoy!
Ingredients
1 pkg gingerbread mix
1/2 cup water
2 cups peeled, sliced apples (2-3 apples)
Topping
1/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1/3 cup chopped nuts
2 tsp butter or margarine
Instructions
Grease bottom and sides of an 9 or 9 inch baking pan. In a large mixing bow, combine gingerbread mix and water; blend at low speed, then two minutes at medium speed. Stir in apples and pour into greased pan.
Take the brown sugar, chopped nuts, and melted butter and mix. Crumble over batter. Bake at 375 for 25-45 minutes (until middle is not jiggly). Cute while warm and serve with ice cream or whipped cream.
