Anything with cloves reminds me of my grandma's house. It always has a hint of it and it's such a strong smell... I love it. These cookies will fill your kitchen with that smell and make you drool at the same time. Now, we ALWAYS had these with a sharp cheddar. I don't know why but it works and it's delicious. The thing I love about these cookies is they're a little bit thicker than you would think and they're soft. There is a slight crunch that comes from the bottom of the cookie and it's the perfect crunch-to-softness ratio. The one thing I will tell you is to follow the time, the cookies will seem to soft but as they cool they will stiffen up a bit! I hope you enjoy and give the sharp cheddar a try :)
