Molasses cookie recipe number 2 enters the website! Yes, I have posted MY Great Grandma's Molasses cookie recipe on Liz's Kitchen, but now it's time for Great Grandma Daniels' recipe. I always have so much fun baking with Grandma George and these are a family favorite that no one has been able to replicate - they dream of these. So Grandma and I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did because we didn't follow the full recipe...you never do. There was no "beating" when we made these - we used a bowl and wooden spoon. That was it... no beater or whisk in sight. This is why if you love a family recipe you need to cook it with your parents or grandparents, not everything it written in the recipe. And if you're wondering, no they didn't taste like Great Grandma Daniels', which means we just have to try again. They were still VERY tasty.
