Jello is cookies? Who knew? This was another recipe out of Grandma George's recipe box and this one didn't miss either! (The name on the recipe card said Shirley Kibler - I want to make sure she gets credit) It eats a little like a shortbread but the flavor REALLY comes through. Now, the recipe called for a cookie press, but I don't own one so I rolled the dough into balls and pressed some down, and just left some in the ball. They both tasted and turned out good! Hope you enjoy this little summer treat!
Ingredients
4 cups flour
1 teas baking powder
1 1/2 cup margarine
1 cup sugar
1 pkg 3 oz Jello (I used strawberry, but you pick your flavor)
1 egg
1 teas vanilla
Instructions
Sift flour and baking powder. Cream butter and gradually add sugar and jello. Add egg and vanilla and beat well. Gradually add flour and mix until smooth.
Bake at 400 for 13-14 minutes.
