Growing up we had our family staples and this recipe was one of them! The recipe cam from my grandma'a friend, Peg Ager, which is obviously where it got its name. We mostly had these with ham, but we would always ask for them because we loved them so much. I've been told they're very similar to what people call "Funeral Potatoes," but this is what we've always called them and will always call them. I hope you enjoy!

Ingredients
1 (2lb) bag of frozen hash brown potatoes
1 1/2 cups butter (1 1/2 sticks)
1 pint sour cream
1/2 cup chopped onion
1 can cream of chicken soup
2 cups shredded Cheddar cheese
1 tsp. garlic salt
1 1/2 cups Cornflakes, crushed

Instructions
Thaw potatoes; melt 1 stick of butter. Mix together. Combine sour cream, onion, soup, cheese, and garlic salt. Then combine with potatoes and put in a 9x13 baking pan.

Topping: Melt 1/4 cup butter (1/2 stick) and combine with 1-1/2 cups corn flake crumbs. Sprinkle on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until bubbly. Serves 8-10 people.
