I LOVE a good hummus! There was a booth at the fair that had Buffalo Feta Hummus that was SOOOOO good, I went back several times. I was raving about hummus a few years back and my dad said, "You know, you should ask Sanaa (an old coworker of my dad's) for her recipe. She makes it all the time." So I did, and it's delicious and so easy to make! I hope you enjoy :)
Ingredients
One 16-ounce can of chickpeas or garbanzo beans
4 tablespoons Tahini sauce
Juice of two large lemons
1/4 tsp salt (preferably sea salt) (salt to taste)
Instructions
Put all ingredients in a high-speed blender, Ninja, or Vitamix. Purée at the highest speed, adding approximately 1/4 cup water as needed to thin to your desired consistency.
When the mixture is smooth, plate it on a platter. Top with paprika, extra virgin olive oil, and a few garbanzo beans for decoration. ( I added parsley for the pop of green -liz)
Serve with pita crisps.
To make Pita Crisps:
Cut pita into triangles. Brush with extra virgin olive oil and top with fresh ground sea salt. Bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes or until desired crispness.
