Liz's Kitchen: Tomato Soup Cake recipe

It sounds too gross to be true, but like most recipes out of Grandma George's cookbook...it's delicious. It was created in the 1920's by Campbells soup but really became popular post WW2. Insane again, but it works. It even got a big thumbs up from my nephew DJ and he doesn't like anything :)

Ingredients
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground cloves
1 tsp nutmeg
1/2 cups shortening
1 cup sugar
1 cups condensed tomato soup
1 cup chopped walnuts (optional)
1 cup raisins (optional)

Instructions
Sift flour, soda, baking powder, and spices together three times. Cream shortening with sugar until fluffy. Add sifted ingredients and tomato soup alternately in small amounts, beating thoroughly after each addition. Stir in nuts and raisins.
Pout into a small greased tube or loaf pan and bake at 350 for 50-60 minutes. When cover with frosting (this is one I used)
