As we prepare for our 2022 broadcast, we're listening back to some of our all-star alumni guests whose mental health wisdom has continued to ring true as we surge forward.

During 2020’s special, Country superstar Luke Combs opened up about his own challenges with mental health and the tools he uses to help him keep a positive mindset.

LISTEN NOW: Luke Combs opens up about his own mental health

“I am somebody who has struggled with anxiety a lot in my past. It’s been actually, a really huge part of my life,” shared Luke. “A Couple ways [I] maintain my mental health is making myself aware to things I know I’m prone to. I think information is key… knowing what you’re dealing with… and being aware or cognizant of the way your mind works in certain situations has been the most important thing for me.”

Apart from educating himself about matters surrounding mental health, Luke also says finding work-life balance has been a major part of his mental health practices.

“I think anybody can feel pressure to get a lot done during these times, but I don’t think that’s any different than every day life, so I think just dealing with those things as they come is important,” he shared. “Finding that balance of being productive and making use of your day, but also giving yourself time to breathe.”

Be sure to check out this year’s I'm Listening broadcast on Wednesday, September 21 at 6PM on your favorite Audacy station -- and in the free Audacy app. The event will feature artists, athletes, and experts sharing honest conversation about their personal experiences with mental health in a continued effort to raise awareness and support.
