Gina Crash spoke on the phone with Bailey Deacon, Director of Community Engagement and Communications for Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter, (BARCS), on March 17th about how people can stiil support BARCS, Show Your Side, (SYSS) and Pawject Runway online this year since the event scheduled for Saturday, April 4th at Royal Farms Arena had to be canceled due to COVID-19 guidelines.
The annual fundraiser is produced in conjunction with BARCS and SYSS, a public service campaign developed to combat animal abuse in communities across the country. Proceeds are critical to cover the costs of caring for over 12,000 homeless and abandoned animals every year. Over the past 7 years, Pawject Runway has raised over $900,000 to care for Baltimore's homeless and abused animals.
The online auction will begin in mid-April on pawjectrunway.org and you can also visit barcs.org for more ways to help.
