This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Marissa Jachman, Executive Director of the Erin Levitas Foundation, (ELF), Isabel Hernandez, ELF Teen Volunteer/Volunteer Award Winner and a 9- year old Child who is a 7-Year Stroll and Roll Attendee, to talk about their Annual Stroll and Roll: 5K Run & Family Fun Walk on Saturday, May 16th at Camden Yards Sports Complex at 8:30am. The professionally-timed 5K Run starts at 9:30am.

The Annual Stroll and Roll benefits the Erin Levitas Foundation's mission to prevent sexual violence through early education through programs for parents and educators providing resources and guidance to help parents foster safe and open conversations with their children and programs for educators including training and tools to identify and prevent sexual harassment and violence.

Although Erin Levitas, (Marissa's cousin), left this world on January 16, 2016 just a month shy of her 23rd birthday after a valiant battle with cancer, she left us with a legacy to appreciate life and to change the world for those living with the pain of sexual assault and to eliminate the experience she and many others had from ever happening again. Erin had accepted a spot at the University of Maryland King Carey School of Law to prepare for a career as an advocate for survivors of sexual assault. Her legacy continues every day through the work of the Erin Levitas Foundation.
