This week Spotlight on Maryland hosted Brain Injury Association of Maryland to raise awareness for people living with brain injury. Bryan Pugh, the Executive Director of BIAMD, and Laurie Elinoff who is a survivor of brain injury joined Spotlight on Maryland to share their experiences. The BIAMD brings health, hope, and healing to thousands of Marylanders living with brain injury, their families, and the professionals who serve them. Click here to learn more.
During the interview Laurie Elinoff told her story about getting her brain injury and shared what it's like living day to day with one. Getting a story like hers out into the world is so important for spreading awareness and creating an understanding that people with brain injuries have keep living their life just like everyone else. And even though their injury may have impacted them greatly, it doesn't change who they are.
