This week on Spotlight on Maryland, Ben Carpenter was joined in studio by Kelly Wilcox and Tanner Scott of Volunteering Untapped. Volunteering Untapped's mission is all about improving Baltimore through increased volunteerism. Every second Saturday of every month, VU volunteers with nonprofits from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and then meet up at a local bar afterwards to share food, drinks, and to network. To acknowledge all of this great work done throughout the year, Volunteering Untapped is celebrating their upcoming event called the Fake Wedding. The Fake Wedding is in fact, exactly what it sounds like! On February 17th at 7 p.m., people can show up in nice attire and celebrate all the hard work the organization has done throughout the year. There will be food, drinks, and a fake bride and groom. The Fake Wedding is a great way to celebrate all they've done for the community, while also being being a fun way to raise funds for the organization through donations. Click here to purchase tickets.
