The Maryland School for the Blind has been dedicated to serving Maryland students with blindness or low-vision of all abilities from birth through 21 throughout their educational journey since 1853. Rob Hair, their CEO and superintendent, joined Spotlight on Maryland to spread awareness about the importance of the school and its upcoming events. It is so important for children and young adults to have a place to learn even if they're blind, have low-vision, or have any other extra needs. The Maryland School for the Blind gives these people a place to learn so that they too can grow and have a bright future ahead of them. Click here to learn more about the school.

The See Beyond Festival is fast approaching! On Saturday, April 27th, The Maryland School for the Blind will be hosting its annual See Beyond Festival. The festival is completely free to attend and is open to any and all people. At the festival, non-visually impaired people will have the opportunity to see what it's like to play sports without vision during blindfolded sporting events. The festival will also include face painting, arts and crafts, and live music. Click here to learn more.
