This week on Spotlight on Maryland, Meghan Marsh joined Ben Carpenter in studio to talk about Disability Rights Maryland (DRM). DRM makes strides towards a world where people with disabilities are fully included in the workplace, neighborhoods and all aspects of community life. They help people with disabilities pursue opportunities to participate fully in all aspects of community life, and champion their rights to self-determination, dignity, equality, opportunity, and freedom from discrimination and harm. Meghan Marsh is the Executive Director of Disability Rights Maryland and she is on a mission to spread the word about DRM and to help people find the resources they need to live a fruitful life. There are over 650,000 people in Maryland alone who are eligible for DRM services. DRM is set on doing as much as they can to better the quality of life for people living with disabilities and to ensure their access to the basic human rights that all people deserve.
