This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Mandy Snyder, Executive Director, Baltimore Homecoming and Gabby Samone, Co-Chair of Baltimore Homecoming's signature event taking place September 18-19, 2025.

Baltimore Homecoming is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization designed to connect Baltimoreans from across the world with the city's leaders and innovators to spark new collaborations and drive new investments in Baltimore's future. Since the organization was founded in 2017, they have driven nearly $50 million of investment into Baltimore businesses and nonprofit organizations via their alumni network. They are the only nonprofit organization dedicated to reconnecting Baltimore alumni with the city they once called home, transforming an untapped reservoir of goodwill into diversified resource generation for Baltimore.

Gabby Samone, a Baltimore native who attended Edmonson-Westside High School, is a rising star in the music world, having captured national attention as a standout contestant on Season 23 of American Idol that earned her a place in the Top 7. Her artistry is shaped by her large musical family and her love of her hometown. She is quickly becoming one of Baltimore's most exciting young ambassadors in music and culture.
