This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Tori Martin, Program Director, Baltimore Arts Realty Corporation, (BARCO), and Jessica Smith, Managing Director, Motor House, to talk about Motor House's 10-year anniversary celebration and the history and mission of BARCO and its connection to Motor House.

BARCO is a non-profit organization that was established in 2012 to create working spaces for Baltimore's growing community of artists, performers, makers and artisans. BARCO provides real estate advisory services to the arts community and develops, owns and manages spaces tailored to the needs of artists and creatives that are affordable and secure for the long term. In 2015, BARCO completed the $6 renovation of the Motor House, a 25,000 square foot visual and performing arts hub in the Baltimore's Station North Arts & Entertainment District.

Motor House is a creative crossroads rooted in the culture of Baltimore. They are a nonprofit arts hub, gallery and performance space that encourages new visions, bold experiments and emerging voices to celebrate the artistry of our city.
