This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Rich and Julie Blood, Founders of the Evan Blood Memorial Fund, (Rich is also a Brandon Tolson Foundation Board Member), to talk about their mission and their Evan Blood Memorial Concert funding addiction recovery on Saturday, October 24th at Fallston Barrel House. The concert is a community event that raises funds for both non profit organizations and awareness through the power of music and shared purpose.
Rich and Julie Blood founded the Evan Blood Memorial Fund, (EBMF), a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting long-term addiction recovery in Harford County, Maryland. It was established in loving memory of their son Evan who tragically lost his life in 2019 due to an accidental fentanyl overdose. The organization's mission is to provide financial assistance and critical resources for individuals impacted by addiction. By fostering understanding, reducing stigma, and creating pathways to recovery. The EBMF was created through the Char Hope Foundation, a nonprofit organization that supports men and women in long-term addiction recovery. EBMF also aids in funding for incoming residents to start their recovery.
In addition to its core missions, the EBMF also supports the Brandon Tolson Foundation, (BTF), a nonprofit organization that provides emotional support & financial relief to families who have lost a child.
