This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Erin Ritter, Deputy Associate Director at the Casey Cares Foundation to talk about their mission and their Biggest PJ Party! The Columbia, Maryland based non-profit has provided ongoing, uplifting programs with a special touch to critically ill children and their families since 2000. They serve 8 states and the District of Columbia with "little moments" and "lasting memories."
April is Pajama Month for Casey Cares and people can help out all month long by donating new pajamas from newborn to teen sizes and even adults. Our own Maria Dennis fondly remembers when Casey Cares delivered pajamas to her when she was a patient at Johns Hopkins fighting leukemia. People can donate in a number of ways. On Monday, April 17th from 11am-7pm, you can drop off pajamas at 44 Baltimore area Chick-fil-A restaurants. Click here for a list of participating locations. On Wednesday, April 19th, National Wear Your Pajamas To Work Day, take a picture of your group wearing PJ's and post it on social media using the #CaseyCaresBiggestPJParty.
