Tax season is here and this week's guest is ready to help you get your taxes taken care of and more importantly, they're ready to help get some cash back in your pocket! We were joined by Sara Johnson, Co-Founder and C.O.O. of CASH Campaign of Maryland. Over the last twenty years, the CASH Campaign of Maryland has prepared and filed more than 220,000 tax returns for FREE putting almost $309 million in refunds and tax credits into the pockets of hard-working families and individuals in Baltimore. These efforts have saved taxpayers an estimated $32 million in unnecessary filing fees by filing with the CASH Campaign for free. This tax season, the CASH Campaign of Maryland and their partners hope to put more than $34 million back into the pockets of hard-working Marylanders.
The CASH Campaign of Maryland wants to spread the word that everyone who made less than $58,000 in 2021 may be eligible to have their taxes prepared and e-filed for free! Each year, over 100,000 low-to-moderate income Maryland workers need to claim the Earned Income Tax Credit and access free tax preparation services but do not.

ABOUT THE CASH (Creating Assets, Savings and Hope) CAMPAIGN OF MARYLAND
The nonprofit CASH Campaign of Maryland works with its partners across the state to promote programs, products, and policies that increase the financial security of low-to-moderate-income individuals and families across the state. Most services are available at no or low cost to participants including free tax preparation, financial education classes and financial coaching.
