Meet Dave Kinkopf- Executive Director of Catholic Charities

This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Dave Kinkopf, Executive Director of Catholic Charities to talk about the 1st half of his 1st year at Catholic Charities leading the largest private provider of human services in the state improving the lives of Marylanders in need.

Dave expanded more on a big project his predecessor Bill McCarthy spoke about last year, the Intergenerational Center. The Center will be named after Caroline E. Fugett, a longtime West Baltimore community activist who died in 2023. The Caroline Fugett Intergenerational Center will house Catholic Charities' first Early Head Start program in the city for very young children, pregnant mothers and their families. There will be nine Head Start and Early Head Start classrooms in the center.

Catholic Charities Executive Director Dave Kinkopf also shared about how its been a difficult year for many Marylanders, whether immigrants, new neighbors or others and how Catholic Charities is supporting them including their Esperanza Center, a comprehensive resource center whose mission is to welcome immigrants by offering hope, compassionate services and the power to improve their lives.
