
This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash caught up with Bita Dayhoff, President of the Community Action Council of Howard County, (CAC). CAC operates the Howard County Food Bank and sponsors 14 emergency food pantries and a community garden!
Some of the other vital programs CAC provides for Howard County residents and families in need in addition to Food Assistance includes Early Childhood Education, Housing and Energy Assistance. This year 52,000 Howard County residents received CAC services, that's up 40% over the past year!
