On this week's episode of Spotlight On Maryland, we spoke with Jeffrey Griffin, Executive Director of The Franciscan Center of Baltimore. Their mission is to provide assistance and supportive outreach to persons who are economically disadvantaged, in an effort to assist them in realizing their self-worth and dignity as people of God. Their dining program serves 400-600 people daily, and they served more than 200,000 meals in 2020 to those in need. They provide many other services such as case management, dental care, eviction prevention, and even prescription and mail services. Their reach goes far beyond just a hot meal; they are going above and beyond to help people in our community in any way they can.

Donations are always welcome and needed, especially this time of year. Items you can donate today include clothing, food, and hygiene products such as soap, deodorant, toothpaste, shampoo, diapers, and feminine products. Volunteer opportunities are also available.
