This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Amy Lambert & Jabari Walker, Co-Chairs of the Maryland Commission on Climate Change, (MCCC's) Education, Communication and Outreach (ECO), Working Group to talk about the Maryland Climate Teach-In, a celebration of statewide climate change literacy and learning throughout April. This month-long event encourages and supports climate education activities empowering educators, students and community members to learn, discuss and take action to mitigate and adapt to climate change. The Teach-In is organized by the Education, Communication and Outreach (ECO), Working Group of the Maryland Commission on Climate Change, (MCCC). The MCCC is an independent, non-partisan volunteer group of experts and stakeholders that advise the Governor, his Cabinet and the General Assembly on how to reduce the causes of climate change, prepare for it and deal with its effects. The Commission is led by the Secretary of the Maryland Department of the Environment.
