This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Greater Baltimore County Chamber of Commerce, (GBCC), Chairman John Kneisly to talk about their mission and upcoming signature event, the 2024 Heads & Tails 5K Run/Walk & Doggie Dash coming up Sunday, September 22nd at Garrison Forest School in Owings Mills.

Serving more than 300 businesses and non-profits and schools in Pikesville, Owings Mills, Reisterstown, Northwest Baltimore and the surrounding areas, the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce promotes business, enhances economic well-being and fosters community development. John talked about how the chamber supports and promotes businesses in the Greater Baltimore area through programs and initiatives including GBCC's Young Professionals program designed to Connect, Empower and Ignite! the talent of young, local chamber entrepreneurs and business professionals between the ages of 21-40. The mission of the program is to create networking opportunities that will enhance the professional development and leadership skills of our young workforce.

Held annually, the Heads & Tails 5K Run/Walk & Doggie Dash supports the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Reed's Rescue that provides care for terminally ill and elderly dogs that would otherwise be placed in an animal shelter.
