Greater Baltimore Urban League's Saturday Leadership Program Begins October 1st

Coming up this week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Jennifer Wicks, Chief Development Officer, Greater Baltimore Urban League, (GBUL), and Edwin Green, Jr., Ed.D., MSW, long-time facilitator of the Saturday Leadership Program, (SLP), GBUL's longest-running youth initiative. SLP kicks off October 1st. Sign up today to empower your 8th-12th grader through leadership, advocacy, and teamwork for college, career, and community success. Founded in 1924, GBUL is one of the local affiliates of the National Urban League, a nonprofit, nonpartisan, multi-ethnic, social service organization. Audacy partnered with the National Urban League in 2020 and locally, Audacy Baltimore teamed up with GBUL to advance racial justice and equality in the communities we serve.

Jen Wicks shared highlights from the Greater Baltimore Urban League's recent events, including their participation in the Baltimore MET Gala on September 13th and GBUL's Restaurant Accelerator Program, (RAP), Tasting Event on September 12th. RAP celebrates local restaurant entrepreneurs creating jobs and economic impact in Baltimore. GBUL is looking for sponsors for next year.
