This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Tavia Mick, President, and VP Candas Parke from Heart of Angels, a local, mobile, nonprofit organization providing food, clothing and preventative care for those in need. Heart of Angels, (HOA), is committed to advocating for the future of homeless individuals and low income families.
HOA has 3 goals: Improvement: Working with like-minded organizations like St. Vincent de Paul of Baltimore, Helping Up Mission and the Maryland Food Bank, to continue to build relationships where community-based organizations and leaders can develop a shared agenda for improving food impoverished neighborhoods. Nutrition: Providing nutritional meals for approximately 10,000 families per year, HOA treats every community member as a part of our family with love, respect and care. Wellbeing: HOA will continue to provide high quality clothing and daily hygiene products to help maintain the well-being of those in need.
Tavia and Candas are lifelong friends who came together to be the change we need to see. They talked about their mission and recent fundraising events like their 2nd Annual BBQ held on August 18th. Audacy Baltimore and Audacy Baltimore's Mix 106.5 were proud sponsors of the event.
