This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Diana Bailey, Executive Director, & Kalin Thomas, VP of Communications, from the Maryland Women's Heritage Center, (MWHC), to talk about their history, mission and future as well as the importance of herstory to the state of Maryland and the US. Diana and Kalin also told their stories and how that led them to the Baltimore-based non profit organization.
MWHC is the only organization in the state and one of the few in the country completely devoted to telling and preserving women's stories. They do this with exhibits, events and online features like "Maryland HERstory Minute" that celebrates Maryland women's past and present, and their contributions in education, politics, science, community activism, the arts, the military, business and all the ways that women change our world for the better. In short, they "Add HERstory to history to tell OURstory."
