This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash spoke with Cereta Spencer, Director of Development and Community Engagement and Adobolia Buford, US Army (Veteran), Interim Executive Director of MCVET, the Maryland Center for Veterans Education and Training, about their signature fundraiser, MCVET's Veterans Day Virtual Run & Walk. Event proceeds will help MCVET continue to provide Housing, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Counseling, Education, Employment Services and other comprehensive services to help veterans rejoin their communities as productive citizens.

Since its founding in 1993, this Baltimore-based non profit 501(c)(3) organization has provided residential shelter and support services for homeless male and female veterans and over 11,000 veterans from all branches of the military, without regard to their character of service. MCVET is the nation's premier program for helping homeless veterans heal and achieve independence, self-sufficiency and permanent housing.
