This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash spoke with Beth Rheingold, President & CEO, Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce, and Mary K. DiUbaldo, Executive Director of There Goes My Hero. Both organizations are beneficiaries of the Miles That Matter Pikesville 5K Sunday, November 14, 2021 at Woodholme Center.
Beth spoke about the recent name change from the Pikesville-Owings Mills Regional Chamber of Commerce to the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce and explained why a Chamber is managing a 5K! Now in it's 20th year and back in person this year, the event has raised over $1 million dollars for cancer nonprofits like There Goes My Hero.
Mary K. DiUbaldo explained the mission of There Goes My Hero that partners with DKMS to add potential lifesavers to the National Bone Marrow Registry; and with the Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center to provide support services to blood cancer patients and their families throughout treatment.
