On this week's episode of Spotlight On Maryland, we spoke with Bronwyn Mitchell-Strong, Program Director of the Natural History Society of Maryland. The Society has been conserving Maryland's natural heritage and educating our community since 1929. They manage a museum in Overlea where they offer programs, lectures, workshops, and course on a wide variety of natural science subjects. They currently have over a million natural history specimens and artifacts in their building! From minerals and fossils to insects and plants, there is something at the Natural History Society for everyone!

Listen to the full interview below to learn more about the amazing work they do and check out the calendar to see what educational events you and your family can participate in this summer!
Donations are always welcome, and there are plenty of volunteer opportunities available as well.
