This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Guest Host Greg Carpenter was joined in studio by Ron George, President & CEO of NCIA, to talk about their organization and the impact it's made over the last 49 years, the adult services it provides, their Youth in Transition School, (YIT), and and their Vocational Training Centers, (VTC). VTC supports those seeking a second chance with occupational training, case management, life skills coaching and a path to skilled employment. There is a VTC graduation coming up on August 8th. NCIA's YIT is approved by the Maryland State Department of Education as a Type I full-day special education program for students ages 11-21 who are pursuing a high school diploma or certificate of completion.
