This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash spoke with Greater Baltimore Urban League, (GBUL), President & CEO Tiffany Majors the morning after GBUL's first Pop-Up Vaccine Clinic Event held on Saturday, June 12, 2021. GBUL partnered with Giant to provide the first Moderna dose for people in the community. Tiffany is pictured here at the event along with Baltimore's own Taharka Bros. Ice Cream truck!
The 2nd vaccine dose will be administered on Saturday, July 10, 2021 from 10 AM-2 PM located at the GBUL parking lot at the corner of Pennsylvania Ave. and Orchard Street in Baltimore. This event is open to both second and first dose patients. Those who receive their first dose at this event can receive their second does at any Giant Pharmacy. Pre-registration is available at gbul.org.
Tiffany introduced us to members of her incredible team including Nicole Cameron, Director of Workforce Development, Tershea Ewell, Executive Operations Manager, and Quiana Brown, Director of Programs & Education. We also talked about the importance of honoring Juneteenth celebrated annually on June 19th to commemorate and celebrate the end of slavery in the US.
