This week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined in studio by Sande Riesett, Co-Founder & Executive Director of Show Your Soft Side and John Rallo, Charter Member, Campaign Spokesperson and "Softie" since 2011, to talk about their Softie Homecoming Fundraising event coming up Thursday, July 17th from 6-10pm at the Marriott Owings Mills Metro Centre.
Show Your Soft Side began as a public service campaign with the message that compassion toward animals is a sign of strength not weakness. Today, Show Your Soft Side is an all-volunteer, registered 501 (c)(3) that uses its reach and resources to build a better world for animals, and in doing so, build better adults. Their events like Softie Homecoming fund vital programs like their Street Kitty Medical Fund and the Phoenix Fund that supports the medical needs of Maryland's abused and neglected dogs.
Softie Homecoming provides attendees with the opportunity to meet adoptable local four-legged friends and spend time with Softies including current and former Baltimore Ravens players, for a great cause. For guests who are unable to attend the event in person, an online auction will run from Friday, July 11th through Thursday, July 17th, the day of the event.
