Last week on Spotlight On Maryland, Gina Crash was joined by Larry Noto, Marketing Chair and Member of the Society of Italian American Businessmen, (SIAB), to talk about the Maryland Italian Festival returning to the Harford County Equestrian Center in Bel Air this Friday, September 27th-Sunday, September 29th. The state's largest Italian Festival will feature activities, entertainment, and Italian cuisine for attendees of all ages. It's the perfect lead in to Italian American Heritage Month coming up in October!
Founded in 2013, the Harford County-based SIAB focuses on giving back to Maryland 501(c)(3) charities in education, family and child services, mental health and addiction. The organization's major fundraising events include the annual Spring Gala, Golf Outing and the Maryland Italian Festival. SIAB's fundraising events to date have resulted in charitable giving to over 85 area 501(c)(3) non-profits and more than 33 educational scholarships totaling over $1,000,000 in impact to the community.
