One week after a blowout loss to the Houston Texans, the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Baltimore Ravens in Week 5 of the 2023 season, covering the spread (+5) in the 17-10 win.
That’s one of 58 wins against the spread for the Steelers following a loss in the Mike Tomlin era (since 2007). Their .580 ATS winning percentage over that time ranks first among AFC North teams and fifth among all NFL teams.
Five of those ATS wins have come against the John Harbaugh-coached Ravens, including two in a row and three of the last four opportunities dating back to the 2017 season.
Another opportunity will come on Saturday in Baltimore when the Steelers will look to avoid just their third overall losing streak since October 2022. As of Tuesday’s NFL odds at BetMGM, the Ravens are a 6-point favorite. If that holds or increases, it’ll be the largest spread in the series since the Steelers closed at -10.5 in Week 12 of 2020.
Harbaugh, meanwhile, when facing a team coming off a loss, is 66-56-2 (.541) ATS in his career. Since going 18-19 from 2017-22, the Ravens are 7-4 in those games the last two seasons, most recently covering -16.5 against the New York Giants last week.
