A second pedestrian has now died died after a collision in Anderson. It happened around 11 p.m. Monday near Whitehall Road and Pearman Dairy Road. Troopers said, the driver of a 2025 Kia sedan struck two pedestrians who were in the roadway.
24-year-old Tyheim Pickens died at the scene and 22 year old Adrian McCants of Florence was injured and taken to a hospital where he died of his injuries Thursday afternoon. Investigators determined both men were trying to fix a tire on a vehicle that had been involved in an earlier crash that disabled the vehicle.
That incident is still under investigation by the South Carolina Highway Patrol is and the the Anderson County Coroner's Office.
