What should have been a celebratory and heart warming moment turned into terror as shots rang out at a Christmas celebration in North Carolina.
The shooting happened during the Christmas tree lighting ceremony in Concord about 25 miles north of Charlotte, around 7:30 Friday night.
Investigators with the Concord Police Department say the shooting was not a random act. They say two suspects who were known to each other, opened fire.
18 year old, Nasir Bostic has been identified as one of the shooters. The other is said to be a juvenile and has not been identified due to their age. Bostic was injured in the shooting and was taken to a hospital.
Both he and the juvenile are charged with assault with a deadly weapon and inciting a riot. The juvenile is also charged with shooting into an occupied property.
A 3rd suspect, 17 year old, Keyvyon Bostic is being charged as an adult with accessory after the fact and inciting a riot.
