Greenville County Deputies responded to a reported shooting on Ponder Road in Greer around, 7AM Tuesday. Upon arrival, a woman was found with a gunshot wound. She was taken to a hospital and is currently listed in serious but stable condition.
Investigators determined her boyfriend was the suspected shooter and following a search, the body of the suspect was found near North Howell Road. It appears the suspect died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
The suspect's name has not been released and that investigation is on going.
