A WNC man is facing drug charges after being found a sleep at the wheel at a gas station. The McDowell County Sheriff's Office says, deputies were patrolling in the North Cove Community.
That's when they found a man slumped down in his truck at a pump, at the gas station. Investigators say pills and meth were found during a search of the vehicle.
The suspect 46 year old, Brian Keith Hughes was then taken into custody. He's charged with felony possession of meth.
