The Spartanburg County Board of Zoning Appeals has pulled the plug on LightHouse Data Center's proposed $28 million project, that would have created nearly 50 new jobs.
The 150 acre site with a 200,000 square foot facility was to be located along Jones Road, but the board denied the development application, which led to the appeal.
Spartanburg County Council has already delayed the vote on a proposed moratorium on new data centers, until September.
